Question Carmine - I have a Canon FaxPhone 18 Fax machine. It is probably 15 years old. I am finding that I am increasingly unable to send faxes to certain fax machines, whereas others receive just fine. Has there been a change in FAX protocol in the past 15 years, so that my old machine may not be compatible with newer machines? If so, I would want to buy a newer machine. What should I look for to tell if the next machine I buy is compatible with the newer protocols? I would probably buy a reconditioned fax on Ebay, but don't know what models to look for - or what year of manufacture the new protocols went into effect (if that is the problem).
