Subject: Phone rings but all I hear is buzzing...

Question
I have a cordless phone and it rings just fine but when I answer the phone all I hear is a buzzing noise almost like white noise.  When I call the cordless using my cell phone it just keeps ringing the calls never connect despite someone picking up the phone and saying hello over and over again.

Answer
Jessica,
What type/brand of cordless phone do you have? How old is it? Have you tried making a call out on it? Have you made sure the phone is charged? Replaced the battery? Tried the phone in a different jack? Checked the power and line cords? Try the above and see if it helps, if not, send me the model and brand along with the age of the phone, and I'll try to be more specific.
Spencer
