Subject: Radio station on interior wiring

Question
I have a radio station on my inside wiring to my home.  This happens when there is NO connection to the VOIP adaptor so it’s not coming from their service.  It happens on several different types (corded or cordless) and several different brands of phones.  I don’t have any towers near my house.  What can this be and how do I fix it?

Answer
Allen,
The causes are numerous, and could be anthing from the station being overpowered, to more likely a bad connection of your wiring. Check all the connections in your home at the jacks, and make sure all wires are tight, and without damage. Do you have any splices on your wire runs, or were any jacks added? Check these first! You dont want ANY splices on your wire runs, and check your wiring for worn, or missing insulation. As a last step, Filters are available for your network interface (where the telephone company's wiring meets yours) and individual can be placed at any jacks that need them. Filters are sold at most electronic stores.  Spencer
