Question
Hello,
What is Pair Gain in relation to phone line service?
Harry

Answer
Hello Harry,
Pair Gain Is The Use Of Fiber Optics or Carrier Modulation Of Dial Tones (Many) To Transport Them To A Main Feed - Cross Box Near A Customer To Make Cost Effective Delivery Of Dialtone and Data Telephone Services.
Telephone Company Turns Dialtone Into Light And Transmits Thousands of Dialtones On 2 fiber Strands Versus Thousands of Copper Cable Pairs...Substantial Savings For Them.
Hope This Helps
Carmine
