Question I recently purchased a new set of phones, a base with an additional handset. The phones are GE 28111 Series DECT 6.0 cordless speakerphones.
My problem is that I subscribe to voicemail through my phone company, and the phone has a Visual Message Waiting Indicator on it, a flashing light. Neither phone's light has flashed when I have a message waiting since I set up the phones. Everything else works fine. I have another phone (900 MgH) that has this feature and it works. My phone manual says if I subscribe to this service I should have the flashing light. It seems odd that both phones have this problem. Is there anything I can try to get it to work? I haven't been able to get troubleshooting advice anywhere else. I don't like having to check the phone for audible message waiting tone, I am missing the flashing light.
Thanks for any help or advice you might have.

Answer Hello Janet,
I Called GE's Tech Support And Even Got A Case # 1G1BF,
They Told Me That It Shound Lite MSG Waiting Lite Out Of Box With No Setting Changes. I Do Not Know Because I Cannot get A Copy Of The User Guide. What Lites The Lite Is The Stutter Dialtone From Your Telephone Service Provider. If There Is Something In User Guide For Setup Of MSG Lite And There Are Options, Select Stutter Dialtone.
If Your Service Provider Is Talk America Call Them And Make Sure They Are Sending It... There Were Issues With Them A While Back. Also Try Unplugging 900mhz Phone To Rule Out That It's Not Interfering With New Ones.
