Subject: Vonage and Verizon

Question
Hi.
I've heard a lot about Vonage and my dad considering switching to it, but at the
moment we're using a Verizon service, and the physical landline is Verizon's. My
dad was wondering if any charges would be piled up on Vonage's &24.99/month
because the landline was Verizon's.
Thanks for you help.

Answer
Dan,
Unless you discontinue your current telephone service, you'll pay Vonage's monthly charges and per call fees AND the monthly charges of your telephone service provider. This might not be a bad thing if you make more than the $25.00 charge vonage will add to your calling bill. How do you get your internet service? If it's thru your telephone company and you stop your service you wont have internet access (and vonage won't work) Voip service is for people that make alot of calls, that justify the ADDITION of the $24.99 charge.
