Subject: buzzing/humming sound in cordless phone

Question
We were out of town durring several storms and when we
returned, I reconnected a phone/answering machine in one
room and now we have a continual buzzing/humming sound anytime we use the phones.  I've unplugged all phones and reconnected and it hasn't done any good.  Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

Answer
Linda,
Check the jacks for any damage and/or anything that may have lodged inside while you were gone. Check and replace the line cords to the phones if needed. If your using a cordless phone check and replace the batteries. If the buzz/hum is only on one phone, try plugging that phone in another jack and see if it clears up. My best guess it's a bad LINE CORD. Spencer
