Topic: Telecom (Phone, Fax, E-mail)

Subject: cordless 2.5 vs. 5.8

Question
we currently have a 2.4 cordless phone sysytem, if we go to a 5.8 will the range of the phone increase a little or a lot?

do any of those antenna boosters really work that would improve range of 2.4 system?";

Answer
Hi Stuart,
Generally the higher the frequency,
The clearer the transmission and farther it will travel.
I am unfamiliar with antenna boosters, If you are talking of the ones you put inside the telephone, those are for cell phones and do they work ?......
I do not have any comparative info on the newer phones and cannot comment either way.
I do know that Engenious have 900mhz phones that do work up to 5-miles in open areas....5 miles ...
