Question What we did was: Changed port speed to 57600 from
115200;removed/uninstalled Microsoft Fax
installed Microsoft Passport; reinstalled Microsoft Fax. From Fax Wizard, Microsoft Fax is still grayed out, but we can fax from file, print, fax, send fax wizard, Send Fax Wizard, completing the Send Fax Wizard
We can now send any fax anywere. Thanks, dc

Question -
We cannot fax to several fax machines. We think it is because the two recording beeps, start and end, do not allow enough time for the text to be transcribed. The call is then disconnected. To other fax machines, there is no problem. Is there anyway to lengthen the receivers fax recording time?
Answer -
There Has To Be Something With Your Telephone Line Or Fax Setting On Yours Or The Ones Who Cannot Receive Fax From You.
The Length Of Time Is Not Determined By The Beeps, But By The Fax Documents Length In Information and # Of Pages.
The Receiving Fax When Answering An Incomming Fax, Sends A Beep-Beep Which Is A Polling Tone, Which Is A Request For A Handshake With The Other Fax. Once This Is Done, The Data IS Sent. There May Be Something Up With Your Computer Settings.????

Answer I Am Curious Though,
Most If Not All Fax Machines Are 14,400. The Speed That You Changed Is Probably The Port Speed In Your PC.
