Question I just added a second line to my home telephone. The telephone company said that I can reconfirgure my jack for a 2nd line. She stated that it is easy...all I have to do is reconnect some wires. Can you please explain to me what wires am I going to connect? Do I need to buy any material? I am not sure how to do this?
Answer Ms. Almeida, It all depends on what you want to do with the second line, are you using it for a computer,a two-line phone, alarm, etc. You should be able to wire your jacks to accept the second line by just connecting the standard two unused wires inside the jacks, and at your network interface (that phone company box outside, or in your basement). If you send more information, I can walk you through it. Spencer
