About Jenny McKinney Expertise I can answer questions about microwave, wireless, cellular, PBX and telephone systems, VoIP, fiber optics, broadband, computer telephony integration, telephony, LAN/WAN, cabling and connectors, satellite transmission, and bandwidth.
Experience I have approximately 10 years experience in telecommunications. I have worked as a telecommunications technician for a power company and a network engineer for a cellular phone company.
I live in an apartment complex with a single telephone line. I have "personalized ring" service from "Southwestern Bell". I would like to know if it is possible for me to have two different announcements recorded; the one being programmed to play to callers who dial to my regular number; the other being programmed to play to callers who dial to my "personalized ring" number. If so, how would I do it and what would I need? Would I need to use my computer? If so, would I need to be online in order for the system to be operational?
Thank you for your help.
Sincerely,
Gary Skinner

Answer Hi Gary,
Thanks for the question.
I am still trying to find the answer to your question. I would think it would be possible if you are dialing two different numbers and using call answering software on your computer. You would have to have your PC turned on and the call answering program open.
As soon as I get some more information, I'll let you know.
