Question I've been looking for a good deal on a speaker phone for my home office. I just purchased a Nortel M2008 from Ebay because it would be compatible with a wireless Plantronics headset that I would like to buy next. Now I am afraid I have a clunker phone that won't work because I failed to realize it is made for a digital phone system. What can I do?
Answer Hi Mike. Unfortunately, I have bad news. The Nortel phone you have is indeed made for a digital PBX/key system and will not work with traditional phone lines. If you haven't already, I would suggest going to your local office supply store and looking at their selections of speakerphones. Most of those phones will work with traditional phone lines, and I wish I could tell you that your Plantronics headset will work, but without knowing what specific phone you select I would be lying to you. If I can help in the future, please feel free to email me again. Thanks for the question!
