Subject: Approaching an employer about telecommuting

Question
I am putting together a proposal for my employer to request telecommuting. Where can I find statistics, reports, and companies I can contact who have been successful with telecommuting?

Answer
Hi Melissa,
For current news and research, use Google News. Just type in "telecommute" under the news search(not general search) and you'll get a list of recent articles that discuss current news and trends in telecommuting.

Also check out http://www.ivc.ca/studies/us/index.htm .  This is the Canadian Telework site but the link above takes you to the US research and stats page.

Good luck.
