Question
I dont understand what to do with getafreelancer. I have signed up but dont understand how you bid on projects. Do you have to bid the highest amount to get picked? How much do you have to pay? How do the companys pay you and do they tell you how much they are going to pay you? I have never heard of anything like this before and really have NO idea what to do or how it works. If you could clarify, it would be greatly appreciated. The site doesnt give hardly any information on how to use it. Thanks.

Answer
Actually, the site does explain itself. Here is the link:

Look at the sections that say 'Service Provider'.

Projects are not awarded by who bids the highest, they are won by skills and price combined. Often the lowest prices win the bid.

All of your other questions are answered in the FAQ.
