Question 1) Could you please point me in the direction as to getting started with a 'genuine' telecommuting/work from home job.
2) Do the "online survey" jobs really exist?
Your help and advice is greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Jalayne
Answer Telecommuting is an area that is hard to break into. It requires specific skill sets such as copywriting, script creation, website design, etc. I use mainly one site that I have found has lots of jobs. It is at www.getafreelancer.com. There are other job databases, but of the free ones, this has the best and most listings.
Telecommuting is not a job that you can make a regular monthly salary at (unless you are very lucky and get a monthly contract with someone). It can take months to break into the telecommuting field.
As for online surveys...I have heard rumors of women making money doing so, but do not personally know anyone who has done it. I don't like to pay upfront for things. They have to show ME the money first, not me show them the money. Most survey sites either require payment for their info or they say you can 'win' money. It is like a lotto.
Another place you can try for telecommuting jobs is craiglist.org. They have each area of the US listed separately, but sometimes there are jobs there. You just have to be patient looking through all areas of the country.
Sorry I can't be more encouraging...it is hard work. I hope this helps.
