Subject: Work at home transcription

Question
Hi!  I currently work from home doing transcription for a friend of a friend.  I got the job via referral.  I am currently looking for a new work at home opportunity.  Can you recommend reputable sources for finding this type of work?  How can I tell who is legit?

Answer
Sometimes there are transcription jobs at www.getafreelancer.com. Signup is free, and if you win a bid on a project, they only take a small portion of the amount for the fee.

Other ideas are placing local news ads or posters especially if you have a college nearby.

It is almost impossible to tell who is legit. When it is a client I do not know, I require 1/2 up front for work assigned. The other half is after the project is completed.

Hope this helps.

Fran
