Question
Hello!
I am a 40 year old disabled woman looking for something I can do at home to  earn money. The one thing that interested me was helping people live happier lives by working from home ,or for themselves. I have helped others with their own biz problems, but I would like to help people write proposals for flex work, help with maternity leave, even setting up an office ,or helping with elder care. What do I have to do next? How can I gather info from a client to help them write a proposal? How do I handle payment? meeting clients safely?
Any help will be appreciated.
Kim Dixon

Answer
Hello Kim,

I have a plethora of information for you. Here are some websites that should prove to be very helpful.

http://www.digital-women.com (Go through the articles that interest you and be wary of any one that tries to sell you something immediately. My experience is to deal with the author’s that list their websites and experience after their article.)
http://www.homejobstop.com (There is a small fee included with this but it is a good investment. I have joined myself.)
http://www.Tjobs.com (There is a small fee with this also and again I have invested in this one also.)
http://www.smallbusinessadvocate.com (American Association of Home-Based Businesses-name changed in 2003.)
http://www.asis.org (American Society for Information Science)
http://www.hbwm.com (Home Based Working Moms)
http://www.momsnetwork.com (Moms Network)
http://www.nase.org (National Association for the Self-Employed)
http://www.aweconnect.com (Association of Web Entrepreneurs)

Books you will need to look into are:
Million Dollar Consulting by Alan Weiss

From Entrepreneur to Infopreneur: Make Money with Books, E-books and Information Products by Stephanie Chandler

Scientific Advertising by Claude Hopkins

Help For Your Growing Homebased  Business by Barbara Brabec

Home-Based Mail Order: A Success Guide for Entrepreneurs by William J. Bond

Mail Order Selling: How to Market Almost Anything by Mail by Irving Burstiner (Prentice Hall)

Also in the next two weeks I will be self publishing two e-books and the titles are:
