I have been trying since 2001 to find legitimate online work or a source of online jobs to apply to. I was laid off in 2001 after the dot com bubble burst, and have had dead end jobs since.
I began investigating telecommuting and liked the idea, unfortunately, I only found pyramid schemes or databases with no real jobs. I am always hesistant about paid databases because Ive had bad experiences with them, usually the info there is outdated.
Can you please advise on how to find a decent telecommuting position, and any free sources of job posting perhaps? I´ve been searching in vain for four years, but have kept my hopes up; any advise will help.

Answer I normally use getafreelancer.com. They have helped me got lots of online jobs in the last 8 months. It is free to register and search jobs. You can also post a profile. They take a percentage of the total fee you charge the client. That way you can figure your fee into your bid. They are the most reliable site I have found.
