Question
I have a fax machine with long distance service. When I am away, unauthorized long distance is made, leaving me with the bill.Is there a way to require a code or something similar before making long distance calls???

Answer
Jim,
Who is making the calls?
Is the fax outlet in your home or business?
Depending on WHO your local telephone company is, codes can be used to access the long distance company (check with your local provider)
Most fax machines can be set up to require a pass code to make any, local, or long distance calls (faxs).
