Question I use my cell phone to make long distance calls. My long distance provider is now charging a minimum usage fee for long distance service. Is it necessary to have any long distance provider, if I don't use it? Would I still be able to receive long distance calls if I don't have a long distance provider?
Answer Doug, you state: "I use my cell phone to make long distance calls" then ask: "Is it necessary to have a long distance provider if I don't use it?" HMMMM If you DON'T make ANY long distance calls, then, no, you don't need a long distance carrier, and, no, you don't have to have one in order to RECEIVE any call, long distance or local. I would check my call list before removing the carrier though, just to be sure you're only using your cell phone for local calls. I would hate to see you go to make a call when needed, only to find out you don't have access to a long distance company. Spencer
