Subject: coil and repeaters

Question
What do they do and what does a repeater look like.
I am working in a manhole for ATT.

Thanks

Answer
Not sure what coils are but when installing business phone systems when customers have cordless phones fitted they work off of small stations taht emit the signals, they can have repeaters which basically are a small plastic device which increases the phone range an extra say 50 metres or so.
