Question
recently i have blocked a number of a caller who was harassing me and calling late at nite etc
is there any way to bypass  my block?
can a caller make it appear as if he is calling from another  number?
assuming he can , will my steady call block of not accepting  calls from private number kick in?

Answer
I don't know how you blocked the number but in the UK its difficult to do other than through BT or the service provider. But people can attach a number to a London number, or a non geographic number like 0800 or 0870 etc so it could look like you are calling from London when you are not and also an 0800 number will not show what part of the country you are from as UK dialing codes are normally 01 or 02. It is also very easy to not show ID and so it shows private so it is often difficult to actually stop someone calling you especially if they hide the number. You could if you had a phone system divert the called number if you know it and it showed to a premium rate number like an 09 so they get a nice high phone bill, but on a standard home line its probably difficult. I would advise if in the UK calling BT or the service provider and they will need the times of call etc in detail.
