About Marcia Studley Expertise I`m a true member of the tv generation! I grew up doing my homework while watching the classics of the 60`s and 70`s and today, they are still my favorites. I have a big library of tv and film reference books at my disposal, as well as a large video library. My memory is pretty darn good too, and when that fails, I can hit the books and/or videos, not to mention a few friends who are as devout tv gen members as I am. Please note that my expertise is with American tv only.
Question In the late 70s or early 80s I watched a weekly show which had 3 segments. I can only remember that one segment was the story of a vampire in then-present-day time period, and another segment was a western. I don't recall exactly what the 3rd segment involved, only that I'm pretty sure there was a 3rd segment.
I suppose this isn't really an anthology. It was really 3 shows in one each week. You'd have 15 minutes of the vampire story, left at a cliffhanger, then go into the western, have its cliffhanger, etc. Each week would pick up where it left off.
Any help on the name for this show, when it aired, or who starred in it? I remember little, only that I loved it as a child and would love to see it again.
Answer HI Steve,
There have been numerous anthology series over the years; unfortunately, I can't find any that have this continuing element that you mention. It makes it more of a soap opera or dramatic show. I just can't think of anything that matches this description. Dark Shadows was reincarnated during the 80's, but not as an anthology or anything like that.
I wish I could help, but my research has come up empty, and I'm a blank. If you can think of any other information, please let me know.
