About Marcia Studley Expertise I`m a true member of the tv generation! I grew up doing my homework while watching the classics of the 60`s and 70`s and today, they are still my favorites. I have a big library of tv and film reference books at my disposal, as well as a large video library. My memory is pretty darn good too, and when that fails, I can hit the books and/or videos, not to mention a few friends who are as devout tv gen members as I am. Please note that my expertise is with American tv only.
Question She is elderly now so that gives you an idea of her age. She is a big boned woman who always had red hair and an English accent. Her voice is wonderful and I think she might have had blue eyes. Last known film to me was made in the last ten years or so, she lived near the ocean and was writing a book and befriending a troubled teen. I remember the book turned out to be her life story. Any ideas?
Answer Hi Karen,
Wish it did, but descriptions aren't my strong suit. You say redhead and I think of someone like Agnes Moorehead or Rita Hayworth; maybe Arlene Dahl. Maureen O'Hara? She's Irish, though, not British. She's made a handful of movies in the last 15 years or so. She's a great actress. I wouldn't even think of her as elderly though. Yes, she's older, but she's so vibrant that it's not a word I'd associate with her.
Maureen's last movie was 2000, called "The Last Dance" with Eric Stoltz. It's kinda close, vaguely, to what you mention in your description.
