About Marcia Studley
Expertise
I`m a true member of the tv generation! I grew up doing my homework while watching the classics of the 60`s and 70`s and today, they are still my favorites. I have a big library of tv and film reference books at my disposal, as well as a large video library. My memory is pretty darn good too, and when that fails, I can hit the books and/or videos, not to mention a few friends who are as devout tv gen members as I am. Please note that my expertise is with American tv only.

Question
QUESTION: What show rotated with the monkees when it was first on. It was a horror show like night gallery and twilight zone.

ANSWER: HI Lesa,

To my knowledge, the Monkees didn't rotate.  I don't recall that happening, and my research doesn't mention anything about it either.  The show began in 1966 and aired every Monday night.

Could you be thinking of something else?

If so, let me know!

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: I'm sorry I didn't mean rotate, I meant it was on the same night, one was on at say 6 and the other right after. I know the series was very short lived.

Answer
HI Lesa,

The Monkees was the lead in show, so whatever was on before it would have been local, perhaps a rerun of something earlier.  The shows following it weren't 'horror' anthology.  There was Ghost Story, but that wasn't until '72 I believe.

I'm going to give you two links that might help you.  First is a link to tv schedules and the second is a listing of anthology shows.  Maybe the name will ring a bell from this list.  I could be wrong, but I suspect it's a rerun you're looking for.

Let me know if this helps!
