About Marcia Studley
Expertise
I`m a true member of the tv generation! I grew up doing my homework while watching the classics of the 60`s and 70`s and today, they are still my favorites. I have a big library of tv and film reference books at my disposal, as well as a large video library. My memory is pretty darn good too, and when that fails, I can hit the books and/or videos, not to mention a few friends who are as devout tv gen members as I am. Please note that my expertise is with American tv only.

Question
I am trying to find an episode about a reporter that goes to prison to do a story on execution.  He gets his story, but due to what he thinks is an error, he thinks he is being sent to be executed.  He is begging for his life thinking it's a horrible mistake and he'll really die, the guards put the "hood" on his head.  A moment later the guards say something like "sorry pal, just wanted you to get the true feeling of being executed" As they take the hood off to release him, he as died of a heart attack, basically scared to death.  I don't think it was a Twilight Zone or Alfred Hitchcock presents or one of those.  Possibly an Outer Limits? It is driving me nuts, any clue?  Thanks so much!  Angela

Answer
HI, Angela,

This premise does sound familiar, but I've spent the last few days seeing if I can find it, and I can't.  There are so many shows that it could have been.

I did several searches, looking at numerous shows, but couldn't find this one.

I wish I could help.  If you can think of anything else to jog our memories, I'll be happy to keep searching.

Onward!
