About Marcia Studley
Expertise
I`m a true member of the tv generation! I grew up doing my homework while watching the classics of the 60`s and 70`s and today, they are still my favorites. I have a big library of tv and film reference books at my disposal, as well as a large video library. My memory is pretty darn good too, and when that fails, I can hit the books and/or videos, not to mention a few friends who are as devout tv gen members as I am. Please note that my expertise is with American tv only.

Question
Hello! I have a question about a movie that I remember watching when I was really young. I believe it was on PBS, but I'm not positive.  The gist of it, and pretty much all I remember about it, is there is a woman who orders something from a catalog.  Instead of getting what she ordered, she gets a large trash can, and when she removes the lid, there's a kid in there(that's the only scene I actually remember. It's freaky).  Turns out he's some kind of genetically engineered kid and the government(or whoever) tries to get him back. She wants to adopt him.  I believe his name was Conrad. I've been looking everywhere for answers as to what it was with no luck. Hopefully you can help me out. Thanks!

Jill

Answer
HI Jill,

Unfortunately, I didn't watch a lot of PBS as a child.  I spent some time searching via different ways this evening, but haven't found anything close at all.  If you can think of any other details at all, I'll be happy to try again.

Good luck!
