I will try and answer all questions dealing with television...show names, plots, actors, roles, networks, etc...US shows primarily; not real knowledgeable on TV from other countries...I lean heavily into past, more so than current, television...and, my knowledge dealing with "reality" shows is limited, due to the fact that I really can't stand the genre (my apologies to all the "Reality" fans out there...)

Years of watching and cataloging television shows

Question
is brains on the water advert operated by a puppeteer or  is it animated? also, is the man off the hulahoops advert who is weightlifting with a pencil and hulahoops the same man that is in the nutty crunch advert?

Answer
Julie, I can answer the first question...

now, you are speaking of the ad for Drench Bottled Water, bottled by Cadbury - England...

I did see the ad on YouTube - very clever, by the way - and the answer is...yes !!!

I found this article from BBC News that talks about the ad; it is a combination of puppetry and computer animation (third paragraph under "THE BREAKDOWN" section)...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/7417366.stm

However, I have no idea on your second question; the biggest reason is that I live in the United States and do not have access to ads from other countries, per se...

I did try to look for either of those ads online, but was unable to find anything based on the descriptions in your question...

Do you know the companies or products that the ads are about ??? Armed with that information, I may be able to find out something on them...

Hope this answers (at least half of) your query !!!

Thanks for a Great Question !!!
Take Care,
Mike
