Question i am trying to remember the name of the duo (maybe 3 people) who did pantomime sketches on several popular "laugh-in" type shows in the 80's (?). One of the routines, they both had clay faces, one would 'mold' his face into a bright happy sun, the other would try, but not succeed, ending in big clumps of clay hanging from his 'face' - another routine, they were both in long tubes or pipes, interacting with each other - sort of a pre-"Blue-man-group" type of humor. - thanks
Answer Cindy....
You're talking about Mummenschanz.... they were a genius troup of mimes out of Switzerland... along with the clayface routine, they did one of their memorable "Worm" routines on the last episode of the first season of The Muppet Show, which really got them some American exposure....
