Television Trivia/HOLLYWOOD A GO GO 1964-65

QuestionHello Marcia -
I know you have tackled questions about some of the mid-60's music shows so I thought you might be able to help. I am trying to find out whatever happened to the fantastic GAZZARRI DANCERS who appeared on the LA locally produced 1964-65 HOLLYWOOD A GO GO TV show. Because it was not a network show there is no info in IMDB. There is not much on the net either. I have spent 6 months tracking down numerous dead-end leads. What were their names? What happened to them? Any suggestions on new leads to check? Thanks!
Jim
AnswerHI Jim,
This isn't a show I ever saw, and like you said, it was local, so it's something I've never even heard of. You said you've been searching, so I would think the leads I came up with you've probably seen, but, just in case, I'll share what my quick search came up with, as far as leads are concerned.
First, You Tube has several clips of the show there. I would post there, if you haven't already. Someone might see it and know something. Here's one link I came up with --
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGi_1jxM42g
Second, I found this
http://www.myspace.com/gazzarris Now my computer is old and I can't access myspace or facebook type pages. However, I understand they have search capabilities and such for their sites. Many, many people are found on those two sites, and I would check out this link and any others there.
Third, and I list this cautiously. It came up in the search. It is *not* a family site. I don't know this guy, but the link is as a result of a search and interview he gave on another site, and I just can't list the url. I guess he's a porn star or something, so I don't know what you'll find if you go to his site, but according to snippit I read, he knew Bill Gazzarri and had contact with the dancers. He might be a source of information. Again, it's something that popped up in the search, and proceed with caution on information here -- but the associated link would be ronjeremy.com.
Fourth, I'm assuming you're probably the 'Jim' whose posted on the actual hollywoodagogo site, so I'll ignore that. :}
Fifth, if you are doing something serious, spend the money on ads in the trades or on the LA radio stations. Looks like Gazzarri's did a lot of dealings with a couple of the stations. Don't know if they're still out there or not, but if you're really serious about finding difficult to find people, that's the way to go.
Good luck!
