Question Hi, My Dad and I would end our Sundays watching the American SPortsman and I have wonderful memories associated with the theme song. Over the years I have searched and even called the TV network who originally produced the show and they couldn't even remember the show. I noticed your question posted in 2007 and found the information you posted but it stopped there. My father passed away several years ago and this song holds a special memory in my heart. Have you uncovered any new info?

... done after the death of Curt Gowdy by someone who worked with him on the show... the telling information is from the second comment at the bottom of the page; the note states that no one at ABC (or ESPN, who ABC owns) can find the show in the archives...
this may be one lost for the ages; unless someone out there has their own film of it...
