About Marcia Studley
Expertise
I`m a true member of the tv generation! I grew up doing my homework while watching the classics of the 60`s and 70`s and today, they are still my favorites. I have a big library of tv and film reference books at my disposal, as well as a large video library. My memory is pretty darn good too, and when that fails, I can hit the books and/or videos, not to mention a few friends who are as devout tv gen members as I am. Please note that my expertise is with American tv only.

Television Trivia - 70s TV show w/ marionettes, homemade spacecraft, visited alien worlds.

Expert: Marcia Studley - 3/22/2009

Question
Hi Marcia!
This show was on somewhere between 1974 and 1979, at an estimate. Would have probably been on public broadcast television. The spacecraft looked like a tin corrugated shed with antennae, from my recollection.  Chars were distinctly non-muppety. No cloth faces, for instance. Craft was also very apollo command-module-ish, though obviously made from scrap metal.  Roughly four kids would pilot this ship to alien worlds - and that's about as far as I can recall.
Thanks!!!

Answer
HI Scott,

I wasn't a big PBS watcher and a search didn't help me find what you want.  However, I did find two websites that look like they have knowledgeable webmasters and who welcome email, so my recommendation is that you email those folks and see if they can help you.  Now there are a lot of shows listed on these sites, so maybe you'll recognize the name or an image without contacting them.

Good luck!
