About Marcia Studley
Expertise
I`m a true member of the tv generation! I grew up doing my homework while watching the classics of the 60`s and 70`s and today, they are still my favorites. I have a big library of tv and film reference books at my disposal, as well as a large video library. My memory is pretty darn good too, and when that fails, I can hit the books and/or videos, not to mention a few friends who are as devout tv gen members as I am. Please note that my expertise is with American tv only.

Television Trivia - 60's game show

Expert: Marcia Studley - 4/2/2009

Question
I'm trying to find the name of a game show in the early to mid 60's.  It was a typical game show with various questions, but the one thing I specifically remember was that if the question involved naming a tune, there was a band on the set of the program that would play a snippet of the tune.  The band was comprised of 3 very young guys, probably 10-13 years old, who all had long blond hair.  Any thoughts on this one?

Many thanks,
Mike F.

Answer
Hi Mike,

The only thing I can think of is Name That Tune, but that doesn't sound like the one you're thinking of.  There's a website called tvparty.com that is quite knowledgeable about things.  You might go there and contact the webmaster and see if they know.

Sorry I couldn't answer this question.
