Expertise
I can answer most questions on TV and movies from the USA and Australia, from the old Hollywood days of the 40's to now. If I dont know the show, I will do my utmost to search for the answer. The more information you can give the better eg: if it was about a boy and his dog, even the breed of dog would help. I will endeavour to answer as soon as possible after receiving your question but, please know, Im in Australia, so you may be asking while Im snoring.

Experience
I was a toddler when my family got a TV set, from then I was hooked (Im now 49). I know there is a lot I havent seen, but there's a hell of a lot more I have.

Education/Credentials
I have the best credentials available~ "Life Experience". Friends and acquaintances have called me square eyes, but I'm the first they ask if they have a question about some old or new movie and TV Show. Plus I always get the pink cheese first in Trivial Pursuit.

Television Trivia - 80's TV Show

Expert: debra - 5/8/2009

Question
I want to know the name of the TV show (80's I believe# about this woman and her two children #one nerdy blond boy and one teenage girl who used to sit by her window and talk to the "man on the moon").  Both mom and daughter had a strong southern accent.  The mom gets hired by a widower (I think) who has like two children of his own already.  I am not sure what else I can add at this point.  I hope you can figure out the name of the show. Thanks :) .

Answer
Hi Maria,

I think your looking for "The Torklesons". The oldest daughter, Dorothy Jane played by Olivia Burnette used to talk to the moon. I think the show only lasted 1 season. It was a single mum with 5 kids. I hope this correct.

Regards
Deb

P>S> just found out some more info. They did a second season named "Almost Home". 2 of the kids disappeared and it was just the mum (getting job as nanny) and 3 kids move in with widower father of 2, played by Perry King.

Cheers
Deb
