Television Trivia - 80's TV Show

Expert: Shae - 5/8/2009

Question
I want to know the name of the TV show (80's I believe# about this woman and her two children #one nerdy blond boy and one teenage girl who used to sit by her window and talk to the "man on the moon").  Both mom and daughter had a strong southern accent.  The mom gets hired by a widower (I think) who has like two children of his own already.  I am not sure what else I can add at this point.  I hope you can figure out the name of the show. Thanks :) .

Answer
Maria-
The show was "The Torkelson's" the first season and there were extra siblings with the show set in Oklahoma. It was retooled the second season and became "Almost Home" when Millicent (the mom), Dorothy Jane (the teenage daughter), Chucky Lee (the nerdy boy) and Mary Sue (an adorable blond tot) moved to Seattle where the mother went to work as a housekeeper for an attractive widower with two teenage children.

The series aired in the early 90's on NBC and was later re-run on The Disney Channel.

Happy Viewing!
Shae
