Linda, I found a YouTube video that should answer your question...

Faygo was a soda bottler that began in Michigan... it was pretty local for a long time, although eventually, it went national..

however, if you look at this commercial, you will see it was done in the early 50's (this one was done in 1953)...  enjoy !!!
