I am trying to remember the title of a movie of the 80's.  Two teenagers fall in love, but the romance is foiled when the girl finds out that the boy's mother is the woman who hit and killed her sister while driving drunk.  This has been driving me insane for a couple of weeks now!!

This movie is now driving me insane too! It seems familiar but I can't find it in any of my research. Can you remember any other details, like who the actors were or what network it was on? Was it on in the evening or was it an after school special? Any little detail might help me find the movie.
