Question what was the name of the cartoon with the dog who had a dog friend named george, and he would say i will love him and squeeze him and keep him for my very own, we can't think of the name of the cartoon or the other dog.

George the dog must exist because this is the second time I've been asked about him. Unfortunately, I can't find anything in my research, and it doesn't ring any bells. The closest thing I can come up with is a dog that works with a fox named George and has the tag line of 'which way did he go, George?' Sorry. If you happen to think of anything at all that might help (other character names, decade, just anything), please let me know.
