About Marcia Studley Expertise I`m a true member of the tv generation! I grew up doing my homework while watching the classics of the 60`s and 70`s and today, they are still my favorites. I have a big library of tv and film reference books at my disposal, as well as a large video library. My memory is pretty darn good too, and when that fails, I can hit the books and/or videos, not to mention a few friends who are as devout tv gen members as I am. Please note that my expertise is with American tv only.
Question I saw this movie on tv when I was five years old and couldn't finish it. I ran to
the kitchen crying when a father ties a rope to the neck of his sons dog. The
crazy part is that the boy is up in tree with an old lady bird watching. There is
this unbelievably tense(to a five year-old) sequence where the kid sees his
father in a truck towing a boat through the binoculars. The camera flashes
back and forth from son to father as the father launches the boat, tiesa rope
around the dogs neck. there is a rock tied to the other end of the rope and
the father throws it all over board. The boy sees this progression through the
binoculars and as he panics so do I. The last thing I saw before turning it off
and running into the kitchen was the dog under water fighting to come to the
top and bubbles.
I know the description is long but I have been trying in vain to find out the
name of this movie along with other details for over 17 years now. Any help
would be great. Thanks, Jason
Answer Hi Jason,
I really wish I could help, but this one is a blank, and I know I wouldn't have gone near it. I'm a devout animal lover and I just don't watch anything where animals get hurt. I cry at the opening of Lassie; that's how bad I am.
Maybe another expert can help you. I certainly hope so.
