Television Trivia/2 Tv shows from the 90s
Expert: Mike Hensel - 8/8/2009
QuestionHello, I have been looking for 2 tv shows from the 90s but I can not remember their names.
1) This one had 2 aliens who are brothers. I remember that when one would get hit the other would hurt. I also remember they were always going after girls, for some reason it reminded me of married with children.
2) I think this was on Friday nights. Dad was bald and a school coach for a religious school I think. He had 7 daughters and 1 boy. I remember the name was along the lines of 8 is enough but it was 7 and us or something..
Please help and thank you :o)
AnswerPatrick, I believe I have them...
The first one you are thinking of was called, "They Came From Outer Space", a syndicated show from 1990 to 1991...
The show starred Stuart Fratkin and Dean Cameron as two alien brothers from the planet Crouton, Abelrama ("Abe") and Boximaxio ("Bo") Osceack; whom their parents sent off to Earth to get a college education...
They were going to go to Cambridge University in England, however Bo, while reading his favorite girlie magazine, convinces his brother that they should go to California instead...
As they change their ship's course, it develops engine trouble and crash lands in a California junkyard...
Using their powers of transformation, they transform a pile of junk cars into a brand new 1957 red Corvette and decide to travel the country to get their "education", "Route 66"-style...
For the second one, you need to add the number of parents to get the title...
The show was called, "Just The Ten Of Us", a comedy shown on the ABC Television Network from 1988 to 1990...
It's the story of Graham and Elizabeth Lubbock, (Bill Kirchnbauer, Deborah Harmon) the parents of eight kids (six girls, 2 boys)...
Graham is the athletic director and coach if the Hippos football team at St. Augustine's, a Catholic high school for boys in Eureka, California...
Naturally, the kids were the focus of the series...
The only name I recognize among the kids is Heather Langenkamp, who starred in a few of the "Nightmare on Elm Street" movies...
The show was a spin-off from "Growing Pains"...
I hope this answers your Query !!!
Thanks for a Great Question !!!
Take Care,
