Television Trivia - Staash (Stanley) in 70's show

Expert: Mike Hensel - 8/16/2009

Question
QUESTION: I remember loving a character named "staash" from my childhood but can't picture him or the tv show. Any idea?

ANSWER: Lisanna, nothing comes to mind right now...

I will continue to look for it, though... if you can remember anything else about the show, please follow up here; i.e. when you watched it, was it weekly or daily, was it a Saturday morning show, etc...

Also, if you follow-up, I would like your permission to make this a public message; that way, perhaps one of my fellow colleagues or other folks out there  may be able to answer it...

Sorry I couldn't answer your Query !!!

Thanks for a Great Question !!!
Take Care,
Mike

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: I'm pretty sure "Staach" was short for Stanley, and I'm picturing old white men - like Archie Bunker, but I could be wrong.  I met someone named "Staach" today, and he is polish.  I was thinking about Taxi, Three's Company, Cagney and Lacey, Laverne & Shirley, etc.  I don't mind the question being public unless my email address has to be out there.  Thank you so much for your help!

Answer
OK, Lianna, your question is out there...

I am (part) Polish, so I'm wondering about the spelling; I've seen the nickname, "Stosh" in my lifetime; just wondering...

let me look more on this - hopefully, this is a main or recurring character; not a guest character - and I'll follow up here when I find it...

Take Care,
Mike
