Question i remember watching a show where one portion was a green turtle who was not satisfied with what he was. a magician or wizard would chant a spell that would cause the changes the turtle wanted. of course they never worked out and always had to be changed back.
if it helps, i grew up in colorado and this would be in the late 50's or early 60's.
Answer Hi, Essie...
You're looking for Tooter Turtle. Every episode saw Tooter wishing he was something or somewhere else, only to relaize that he liked it better as he was... he would call out for his friend, Mr Wizard, a lizard, to save him, saying, "Drizzle, drazzle, drozzle, drome, time for this one to come home." Mr Wizard would bring him back and lecture him on the "moral of the story." Usually stemming around the idea "there's no place like home" and/or "be yourself."
