About Test Pattern Guy
Expertise
I`m a pop culture freak who loves TV, old and new... ask me about classic TV, new TV, commercials, jingles, cartoons, Saturday morning shows, you name it. If I don`t know it, I can find it out... Believe it or not, I even know some of the infomercials by heart.. "Set it and forget it!"

Experience
Lots of time reading the TV Guide, and way too many nights of insomnia...

Subject: Beef, it's what's for dinner

Question
I thought the actor who did the voice over was Robert Mitchum.  Perhaps Sam Elliott took over after Mitchum died.  Would you research this?
Thanks.

Answer
Hi, Sue...

You're exactly right... When Mitchum died, the beef industry hired Elliott to take over the job... I love how distinctive Elliott's voice is, anyway (see him as the narrator in "The Big Lebowski" if you doubt the certain something in his voice...)

Hope this helps,

TPG
