AboutMarcia Studley Expertise I`m a true member of the tv generation! I grew up doing my homework while watching the classics of the 60`s and 70`s and today, they are still my favorites. Question Okay I heard rumors that when they were casting for "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" that Katie Holmes auditioned for the role of Buffy but instead it was given to Sarah Michelle Gellar. Is that true? And if it is why did Katie Holmes not get it? Also why did the show come to an end?

According to the IMDB trivia on Katie: Auditioned for the role as Buffy Summers (_"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (1997)_, the series), but she was too young.
