AboutMarcia Studley Expertise I`m a true member of the tv generation! I grew up doing my homework while watching the classics of the 60`s and 70`s and today, they are still my favorites. I have a big library of tv and film reference books at my disposal, as well as a large video library. My memory is pretty darn good too, and when that fails, I can hit the books and/or videos, not to mention a few friends who are as devout tv gen members as I am. Question This is a tough one I'm sure but here it goes. When my sister and I were kids we
would rush to the TV a few minutes before the holiday special de jour would
start so that we could see the 'effect'. The word special would come on the
screen and spin around while they played this cheesy 70's theme. I want to see
that and can't figure out how to make it happen. Any suggestions?

I'm not really sure which promo you mean specifically, but I think I know what type of thing you're referring to. I would suggest trying sites like youtube.com and just searching for things like '1970's abc special promo" and the like and seeing if you are looking for is there.
