About Test Pattern Guy
Expertise
I`m a pop culture freak who loves TV, old and new... ask me about classic TV, new TV, commercials, jingles, cartoons, Saturday morning shows, you name it. If I don`t know it, I can find it out... Believe it or not, I even know some of the infomercials by heart.. "Set it and forget it!"

Experience
Lots of time reading the TV Guide, and way too many nights of insomnia...

Question
Hi,

The show was called Johnny Sokko and His Giant Robot, also known as Jainto Robo. I saw it as a series on a UHF channel in Cleveland, OH. Appararently four of the 26 episodes were cobbled together into a movie called something like "Journey Into Space". The giant robot was called simply "Giant Robot". Thanks for thinking on this - the fact that I was not remembering some version of Ultraman was helpful.

Hi, T...

DId you ever find anything on this robot? I have combed all the Japanese sci-fi I know of, and Ultraman keeps pushing, but it does not match the description you give...
