AboutMarcia Studley Expertise I`m a true member of the tv generation! I grew up doing my homework while watching the classics of the 60`s and 70`s and today, they are still my favorites. I have a big library of tv and film reference books at my disposal, as well as a large video library. My memory is pretty darn good too, and when that fails, I can hit the books and/or videos, not to mention a few friends who are as devout tv gen members as I am. Question I'm really stumped. My friend was asking about a TV show from the late 60's or early 70's that was about a private eye that wore plaid suits alot. He thinks that the actor died of psoriasis of the liver a few years back in real life. He thought he was married to Angie Dickinson, but I don't think that part is right. Any ideas? Thanks

Angie Dickinson has only been married twice, the last time to Burt Bacharach, and that ended a long long time ago. Perhaps your friend was thinking about someone she worked with, maybe on her Police Woman tv series, like Earl Holliman.
Unfortunately, I need more to go on than a private eye in plaid. Do you remember anything else? -- character name, performer, location of the show, a catchphrase .... etc.? If you can, please let me know and I'll do my best!
