AboutMarcia Studley Expertise I`m a true member of the tv generation! I grew up doing my homework while watching the classics of the 60`s and 70`s and today, they are still my favorites. I have a big library of tv and film reference books at my disposal, as well as a large video library. Question My wife and I have an ongoing debate as to whom the voice behind the AT&T Wireless Cell Phones belongs. I say it is
William Peterson (aka Gil Grissom from CSI Las Vegas)but she says (of course) I'm an idiot and am wrong. Settle the bet . . . Who's voice is it?

Voice over work is gaining popularity with performers. It's easy and quick to do. Unfortunately, it's not as easy to find out who does what. I know the ads you are referring to, and I can hear why you might think it's William Petersen. While I can't 100% say it's not him, I don't think it is. The voice is similar but it just doesn't really sound like him to me. I also searched quite a bit and couldn't find anything to indicate that he was doing voice over work, nor could I find out any references to who is the voice for the att wireless ads. You could try going to the att wireless website and contacting their public relations department. Sometimes, they actually do respond.
