Question I'm looking to find the name and company that produced 2 cartoons I remember seeing as a kid.
One was about 2 animals (cats) and they would spin this punishment wheel and the loser would have to do it. One punishment was called "roll out the barrell" which was loaded with gun powder and a small hole. The loser pushed the barrell leaving a trail and the winner would then light a match. You know the rest.
The other catroon was about a dog that loved meat so much he had a scam going where he would return lost pets and get money. There was also a theme about gravy. At the end he buys a meat store and is so fat he can't move. Those he victimized come to see him with a huge drum of gravy, shove a funnel in the dog's mouth and say "this time we didn't forget the gravy"

Can you tell me a bit more about these cartoons? Not finding anything on them right now, but, the way you describe them, they both sound like Tex Avery Cartoons... can you remember anything about the overall look of the cartoon? Did they look like typical Warner Brothers cartoons? Or more like the MGM cartoons, like the early "Tom and Jerry" shorts or "Droopy Dog" shorts? Anything you can remember might help us find these for you...
