About Test Pattern Guy
Expertise
I`m a pop culture freak who loves TV, old and new... ask me about classic TV, new TV, commercials, jingles, cartoons, Saturday morning shows, you name it. If I don`t know it, I can find it out... Believe it or not, I even know some of the infomercials by heart.. "Set it and forget it!"

Experience
Lots of time reading the TV Guide, and way too many nights of insomnia...

Question
I used to watch a cartoon on occasional Saturday mornings with a sheepdog and a wolf (I suppose). One was Frank, I recall, and the other Ralph. They would walk into the woods/fields together in the morning with their lunchboxes in hand, punch a timeclock on a tree. The dog would watch over the sheep and the wolf would try to catch one for a snack. the wolf never one of course, and at then end of the day, they'd punch out saying see goodnoght Ralph, Goodnight Frank.
What studio produced that cartoon, when, and is there a remote possibility of linking to a clip. I would love to shopw my granddaughter a piece of my childhood memories.
Thank You!

Answer
Hi, Michael...

Those cartoons are GREAT!!! Warner Brothers did about three of those in that formula... I'm thinking one was Sam, though, not Frank... could be wrong there...

Check this link, though...

It tells the story of Sam Sheepdog and Ralph Wolf... I know these things are in various compilation DVD's, but you might have to hunt them down by title... the best one is the Warner Brothers release "Looney Tunes - Golden Collection". Look for it in Amazon or Ebay..
